A Jefferson Parish grand jury Thursday charged a Baton Rouge man with killing a transgendered woman and her boyfriend in their Metairie home last year.Melvin Miller, 22, was indicted with two counts of second-degree murder in the Feb. 5, 2013 deaths of Akeem Boudreaux, 22, and Morris Alexander Williams, 26, a transgender woman with a history of prostitution.

Williams, who used the name Milan Boudreaux, lived with Boudreaux in an apartment at 2209 Edenborn Ave., where they were shot in their heads. Worried friends found the decomposing bodies nine days later, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Williams, shot in the back of the head, was found on a hallway floor. Boudreaux was shot in the side of his head, and his body was found in a bedroom with the couple’s dog, which fed on the corpse, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
